Wild Life Facts!! Do You Know??
Hello Everyone!!
Do you love wild life?? Do you like to hear about different species of animals and plants on television or in real life?? Do you know i really love to watch and hear about wild life on television and in real life also. Wild life is a natural gift that our earth holds. However, it also plays a very important role in balancing the environment. Wildlife can be defined as the living animals and plants that can never be grown and lived with the humans. That means they can never be domesticated, they all live in wild areas like forests, deserts and other areas of eco system.
Flora(Plants) and Fauna(animals) both are the main characters of wild life, but today i will be writing about the fauna life and its facts. Because if i will write about both, this blog will gonna too long and boring for you guys, LOL. So, lets start with the interesting facts on the wild animals.
Here are the Wild Life Facts on Wild Animals:
1. Tiger
A tiger is a large fierce animal belonging to the cat family. They are orange with having black stripes on their bodies. Tigers are carnivores animals, as they eat flesh of other animals. Also tigers are the national animal of India because of its rich cultural history, abundance, characteristics and conservation efforts.

a) The average lifespan of a wild tiger is 10-15 years. But in rare, they can live up to 26 years in the wild.
b) You can hear a tiger`s roar from up to 2 miles away. Tiger vocalizations include roaring, growling, hissing and moaning.
c) Today, there are five subspecies of tiger. These are Bengal tiger, South China tiger Indochinese tiger, Sumatran tiger and Siberian tiger.
2. Elephant
Elephants are mammals of the family elephantidae and the largest existing land animals. Three species of elephants are currently recognized; they are African bush elephant, the African forest elephant and the Asian elephant. Elephant are the largest land mammals on earth. They have large bodies, large ears and long trunks. They use their trunk to pick up objects, greet other elephants, suck up water for drinking, showering and so on. Elephants need extensive land areas to survive and meet their ecological needs, which includes food, water and space.

a) Elephants can get sunburned! These giants bath in mud to help protect their skin from the sun. They also do this to keep the bugs away.
b) Female elephants have the longest pregnancy of any mammal. It`s a lengthy 22 months before baby elephants are ready to be born.
c) An elephant needs around 300 kg of food & 160 litres of water each day.
3. Panda
The giant panda, also known as the panda bear or simply the panda, is a bear to south central china. It is characterised by large, black patches around its eyes, over the ears, and across its round body. The name "giant panda" is sometimes used to distinguish it from the red panda neighbouring mustelid.
FACTS DO YOU KNOW??
a) The panda spends 14-16 hours a day eating bamboo.
b) A giant panda can peel and eat a bamboo shoot in about 40 seconds.
c) The chinese call giant pandas "daxiongmao" or "large bear cat" Pandas have also been known as "beast of prey", "White leopard", "Iron eating beast", and " Bamboo bear.
4. Bear
Bears are omnivorous mammals of the family Ursidae. They are classified as caniforms(Any mammal which is regarded as dog-like). Although only eight species of bears are surviving, they are widespread, appearing in a wide variety of habitats throughout the northern hemisphere and partially in the southern hemisphere

a) Bears are one of the most intelligent land animals in North America.
b) Bears have two layers of fur. A short layer of fur keeps the bear warm and a long layer of fur keeps the water away from the skin and short layer.
c) Bears are the only large predators that regularly eat both meat and plants. For this reason, they have different teeth specifically used for meat eating and plant eating.
5. Gorilla
Gorillas are large apes that are native to Africa. They are typically decided into two groups. The mountain gorilla and the low land gorilla. Mountain gorillas lives in the mountains and low land gorilla lives in the flat, dense forests. Gorillas are gentle giants and display many human like behaviours and emotions such as laughter and sadness. In fact, gorillas share 98.3% of their genetic code with humans.

a) Gorillas spend a good time on the ground rather than in the trees.
b) Gorillas are mainly herbivores, with the majority of their diet consisting of leaves, shoots and stems, some fruits and some small animal prey such as grubs, caterpillars, snails, termites and ants.
c) Gorillas become endangered(which is about to an end). Recently the Ebola Virus killed a number of them.
6. Rhinoceros
Rhinoceros are large herbivorous mammals identified by their characteristic horned snouts. There are five species of rhino found in the world - two in Africa and three in Asia. Rhinos are one of the oldest groups of mammals that once roamed through out Asia and Africa.
FACTS DO YOU KNOW??
a) Rhinos can grow to be over 6 feet tall and more than 11 feet in length - that is big.
b) All five rhino species can grow to weigh over 1000kg, with the white rhino reaching a staggering 3500 kg! This makes the rhino the second largest mammal after the elephant.
c) Rhinos have very poor eyesight. He would have great difficulty in seeing someone standing just 30 metres away if they weren`t moving. But their other senses are strong.
So friends these were some interesting wild life facts on animals. Also i want to share some inner feeling of me with you guys. You guys all know that Animals are tongueless/they cannot speak like humans but they also deserve a better life. Do you know? the above animals which i wrote about are unfortunately become endangered. That means there are only few number of their families are left in the world. Also there are so many animals which are at the risk of endangered or they are completely ended from earth forever. Most of the people kill animals or sell animals for their business. But they really need to understand that they also have a life and they are also a precious gift from God. If you ever see something illegal happening around you, please take a immediate action and inform the police. Remember only you guys can bring a change!! Love Animals and Save our Wild Life!!
